Amber Heard and Eduardo Noriega Starring in Supernatural Thriller “In the Fire”

February 15, 2022

It was announced today that Amber Heard (“Aquaman,”) Eduardo Noriega (“Vantage Point) and Lorenzo McGovern Zaini (“American Night”) are starring in the supernatural thriller “In the Fire”, directed by Conor Allyn (“No Man’s Land”) for Iervolino & Lady Bacardi Entertainment (ILBE), Paradox Studios and Angel Oak Films;

The story, written by Conor Allyn, Pascal Borno and Silvio Muraglia takes place in South America in the 1890’s at the hacienda of a couple with a young autistic son who seems to have inexplicable capabilities. After the death of his wife, Don Marquez (Eduardo Noriega) brings in Grace Victoria Burnham, an American psychiatrist (Amber Heard) to ascertain what is ailing the young boy (Lorenzo McGovern Zaini). She accurately diagnoses and heals the boy while facing up to the villagers and the local priest who feel the boy is possessed by the Devil and is the reason for all the village’s woes.

This story is about love: the love between a damaged doctor and her troubled patient, a broken father and his impaired/abnormal son, and a childless woman and a motherless boy. It’s about finding love even when we thought it’s embers had long ago extinguished, and allowing that love to save us, even when we feel far from worthy of salvation.

Andrea Iervolino, Monika Bacardi, Pascal Borno, Silvio Muraglia and Alain Gillissen are producing. Dinamo Film is executive producing.

Principal photography will begin on February 21 in Puglia, Italy.

Andrea Iervolino said, “We’re excited to bring this amazing story to life with Conor, and the dynamic trio of Amber, Eduardo and Lorenzo, who gel so beautifully. And we’re always proud to bring another high quality film project to Italy.”

Pascal Borno added “we are delighted to be in business with Andrea and Monika and especially with my old friend, Silvio, with whom I have already made many films and with the talented Conor Allyn directing we feel that this is a winning team”.

Silvio Muraglia said. “In the fire is a beautiful story of love overcoming bigotry and superstition told in the magic realism literary style, Conor is an incredibly talented director”

Angel Oak Films is also selling the film and already has interest from many distributors at EFM.

Conor Allyn’s latest film, the cross cultural modern western “No Man’s Land” starring Frank Grillo, George Lopez and Andie Macdowell, was released by IFC Films.
