‘LAMBORGHINI – THE MAN BEHIND THE LEGEND’ WORLD PREMIERE ON 23 OCTOBER IN ROME

LAMBORGHINI – The man behind the legend, written and directed by Bobby Moresco, Oscar winner for ‘Crash’, starring Frank Grillo (Captain America: Civil War), Mira Sorvino (Oscar winner for The Goddess of Love), Gabriel Byrne (Golden Globe for In Treatment) will be the closing film of Alice nella città, the independent section of the Rome Film Fest.

Rome, 13 October 2022 – The story of Ferruccio Lamborghini, visionary genius and founder of the world-famous brand of the same name, arrives in Rome with a special city event in collaboration with Alice nella Città “LAMBORGHINI – The man behind the legend”, a film produced by Lambo Film, executive production of ILBE, and Notorious Pictures in collaboration with Prime Video. The film produced by Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi will be released in Italy on Prime Video in January 2023.

Inspired by “Ferruccio Lamborghini, la storia ufficiale” (Minerva Edizioni), one of the five books written by his son, the entrepreneur Tonino Lamborghini, who strongly wanted the film, “LAMBORGHINI – The man behind the legend” was written and directed by Oscar® winner Bobby Moresco and stars Frank Grillo (Captain America: Civil War), Mira Sorvino (Oscar winner for The Goddess of Love), Gabriel Byrne (Golden Globe for In Treatment), and Hannah Van Der Westhuy (Fate – The Winx).

“LAMBORGHINI – The man behind the legend” tells the story of the man behind the legend by delving into the mind and emotions of a visionary genius. Alongside the big international names, “LAMBORGHINI – The man behind the legend” also involved Italian actors and talents such as Romano Reggiani, Fortunato Cerlino, and rapper Clemente Maccaro, aka Clementino. Again, in the role of Tonino Lamborghini, Lorenzo Viganò, and in that a young Tony Renis, Giovanni Antonacci (Biagio Antonacci’s son and Gianni Morandi’s nephew), as well as Matteo Leone and Francesca Tizzano. A choice linked to the desire to enhance the local film industry as well.

A surprise organised with the help of Tony Renis, with the collaboration and commitment of Stefano Cigana and also with Luca Marchegiani.

Set in the post-war period, ‘LAMBORGHINI – The man behind the legend’ brings an all-Italian story to the screen: not only the life of the historical founder of the famous tractor manufacturer and later of the car manufacturer Lamborghini, but also the well-known rivalry with Enzo Ferrari, and the history of Italy in the 1950s, a country engaged in the complex transition to a new industrialised modernity.
